I don't know what's up with squatting on toilet seats. They do it here all the time. I don't understand!!! Haha. I remember our recent trip to Beijing when a "W.C." was a complete luxury. The traditional Chinese squat all the time. But here in Manila, this is a complete no-no for me. The toilet seat is elevated for convenience of directly sitting on it. Sit on it. If you're too arte, get those disposable toilet seat covers form WATSON'S. But please, don't squat. But if you do, please don't leave footprint/shoemarks!--
Squatting is so unglamorous. This is only forgivable in not-so decent gasoline station toilets.
