Day 9

Love love

I'm so happy cos H is using one of the crochet lace trims I picked for her. Yippee! The first time she saw the trim last week, she couldn't stop touching the detail. She was doing pleats, laying it down on this other fabric, etc. I'm excited to see the sample of what she designed. Hehe. Today we fixed our moodboards and updated with new cutouts. Boo, I even have a design deadline nextweek, I haven't even started!

Day 8

CD sorting day... a lot of sorting to do since there are files here and there. I'm trying to avoid the task of calling suppliers, but tomorrow's THE DAY. Huhu. Quick trip to Zara with a new ukay ukay look. Whatever happens don't go to Zara Glorietta! I don't know but the airconditioning system isn't working... the last few times I was here, the A/C wasn't working too! Boooo. I hate tropical living stores... in short sira-lang-ang-aircon stores. Haha.

DAY 7 *

Day 7

My first parcel!!!!

I got super excited with my first parcel of office supplies! It involved bond paper, folders, slips, etc. I'm not used to not having office supplies in one cabinet. I missed delivery days. If you work for retail, you will eventually know that kind of high when you open newly-delivered parcels. I get happy with little things so it isn't surprising that I love opening delivery boxes. Haha.

DAY 6 *

Day 6

After a storm

birds always sing

The whole shift from store to an office-based job is new to me. I'm not used to seeing an actual outside view of the world. We have this big window at the office where I just stare at every chance I get. Today it rained so hard and there was a power interruption. It rained non stop for maybe 20minutes... so I sat there in the dark and watched the rain. H has this huge sign by the window... so I took a snapshot of it. So true after a storm birds always sing... right now I'm singing like crazy. This is such a happy place, I'm so happy I just had this one chance. In my head I will always have this mental photo of myself that I packed all my lawbooks and left everything behind to pursue this. A lot of people wouldn't understand but I won't bother even explaining. Those who care about me knew that this is MY dream. Seriously I had this crazy thought bcos my batchmates are already in 4th yr. But then I realized shiiiiiiit if I didn't leave I wouldn't be here. God is good. =)

Day 5

Uploading Ever After

I'm going to post random tasks each day. I'm getting used to the 9-7pm kind of job, where people really take their lunchbreaks at 12noon! Biggest task which consumed so much of my time was uploading the pics to our Multiply account. Here are photos of the ones I took. I'm not particularly good at product shots, but hey G10 to the rescue so puweeeedeee na yan. Haha. I haven't been updating my own Multiply so it took me some time to figure out the new toolbar and shit. The internet connection was also slow and for some reason towards the middle of the day I couldn't access the site! It's one of the banned websites and I had to get certain signatures for me to access it again. Haha.

Sorting Day

I sorted out the files in our office while H was busy finishing her sketches. In the afternoon, H had a shoot for Working Mom magazine with Dix. After the shoot, we had dinner and talked about Hayden Kho plus my crushie MN. She has to see the videos for herself cos it's hard for me to describe it. Laughtrip! So week 1's done. I've 11 weeks to go! =) I'm excited this weekend cos it's my 1st free weekend even if I've work.

DAY 3 *

My first store visit! I'm not used to wearing my ID inside the store. I'm not used to seeing unfamiliar faces... I miss my Promod girls and our regular Promod visitors. Huhu. At least now GB5 is near for my french fashion fix. Haha. So now, this place will be my new home. I even miss our store playlist... Sharleen Spiteri, anyone?
