A LUV STORY *

My weekend was so boring so I just had to do something fun! For a change, I watched a movie! Yes, I watched a movie - alone. The weather's forgiving today, but the cold theatre just did it. I watched "A Love Story". Of course, I had to coerce my friend to tell me the ending the night before I watched it. I can't take surprises, you know! Angelica was a lousy actress but I couldn't think of any other person of her age who can replace her. Kristine Hermosa just can't do the role cos she acts worse than Angelica. Remember Forevermore and All My Life? I can't tell you much about movies, but I know Philippine cinema to some extent. Kristine Hermosa cannot act. I was thinking, Ann Curtis can but she's too "raw" for a project this big.

I wouldn't like to be a wife like Angelica and have a husband like Aga. Definitely, if your husband must have a mistress, let it be like Maricel - immature yet knows when to be mature. At the end of the day, even if the guy finally promises you forever (after annulment with the first wife), is that any assurance he will be yours forever??? I loved this line by Maricel: "Don't you get it? I don't trust you!" after Aga tells her they will start anew after he gets his marriage annulled. If you got him to cheat on his girl, what assurance do you have that he will never do the same to you?!

It was a good movie actually although there were dead points. I cried a bucket of tears while I munched on Buttered Popcorn and Iced Tea. BIG-TIME DRAMA!!!!So perfect for blah blah weather, emo-loving c/o PMS and singledom. Ohh, I can't help but compare it with SOLTERA (the movie with Diether Ocampo, Maricel Soriano and Claudine Baretto). The lousy actor there was Diether Ocampo. The ending there was quite unpredictable but all the characters had some sense of "closure" naman. Maricel's character in A Love Story didn't have a closure except for the family of Aga.
Ano to? Film critic na? Haha
