Shopaholic means someone who obsessed with shopping. It came from SHOP + AHOLIC.
It is an obsession with shopping that eventually interferes with daily routine of an individual. Most of Shopaholics feel anxiety when not shopping, or they consider shopping as a remedy for their stress, boredom and sadness. They feel a change of mood, a sense of euphoria/happiness when shopping.

Excessive shopping may result to a mental disorder, debt, and marital discord. Nowadays, shopaholics can take anti depressant medication that lessen anxiety or stop compulsive shopping.

Compulsive Buying - guilty
Go beyond budget - guilty
Tend to hide purchases from your partner and other mentor - GUILTY
Tend to hide credit card bills and bank statement - GUILTY

Lying about how much they spent - guilty
Always thinking about money <- not guilty of this

Allocating a large amount of time and money on shopping and planning future shopping expeditions - guilty

Shopaholics must read Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophia Kinsella. You can relate to her situation and after reading that book,
