After 3 years, I'll be back to my favorite place on Earth - Punta Bulata. It takes around 2 1/2 hours to get there from Bacolod. Almost 3 hours of agricultural scenery! At first we had to call it Puta Bulata bcos we had to stay in a room without TV! (At least we had a fab bathroom and white bed sheets!) Our first meal took an hour to be cooked. We were all hungry! We had 3 hours of travel time since we got lost and since everything looked like the same farmland. So we learned our lesson to do a pre-order of what we wanted to eat. It was either tocilog, tapsilog and all the other egg and rice combinations. Waaah. The worst ever was having no network signal for 3days. We could only text/call one each day when we had to wait for the low tide in the afternoon and walk past the middle seaweed part.
The best part was burning early in the morning, giving Brando his backrub of tanning oil, walking and collecting seashells in the afternoon. I remember Brando finding the "perfect seashell for the perfect boyfriend". Waaah. For 3 days we felt that we actually owned the whole beach bcos there were only 2 "cabins" occupied and only 2 groups for the daytrips. I miss walking up to Brando's original melody of this line "Jenni-fer Pa-dua" and hearing him say "Remember Jen I'm gay" before we sleep. Laughtrip. The trip was so memorable, we were drunk by 10pm. All our drinks are pre-ordered cos it takes them forever to serve beer and the kitchen closes early. We had San Mig Light with Mango Tart and Piaya. We could only pull off this kind of pulutan in Bacolod. We ate all the rice & egg combinations for 3 days from tapa to cornedbeef.
So Brando will not be in Manila at the time we leave for Bacolod. Awwww. At least we have three new recruits for this year.
