INSPIRATION HAPPENS *

I encourage people to bring their own notepads and cameras. Take photos of things that inspire you. Jot down things that you want to do. Sketch here and there. I started keeping a notebook beside my bed when I was in highschool. I read somewhere that if you're bothered by your dreams each night, jot down your thoughts when you wake up. I never had the chance to have them interpreted but I knew that my dreams always meant something. I've always been in situations which I have already dreamt before. I have met people in real life which I have also met in my dreams. I don't know how do you explain those things.

As I got older, the habit stuck bcos I couldn't be separated from my pen and paper. I wrote daily since 2000. I stopped having my dream notebook since I had to stick with one - my daily journal. I always had racing thoughts so it was best that I wrote them down. I do all sorts of bashing there. I call it my bitch book. I write there things I could not say out loud. When I was growing up, I had no one to talk to so I just wrote and wrote. My best friend insists that I give her my journals if I die. She wants to read all of them! Haha. I know someone who paints after each entry in her journal. I don't really have the time to do that. I've seen some of her mini-paintings. They weren't fantastic but they were meaningful.

My journal is my core. It contains all my deepest & darkest secrets, my racing thoughts, everything. I encourage people to keep their little notebooks even if they blog. In the middle of the night, it helps when you have something there to keep you grounded.

The point is we archive bcos we fear we might forget something.
