SOME MORE *

FENDI FOLLOW-UP
I just read this somewhere. Wow 88 models flown to Beijing and then some. The show looked stunning. (Source: http://www.nypost.com/seven/10292007/gossip/cindy/smoking_starlet_spotted_in_n_y.htm)
"Karl Lagerfeld and luxury conglomerate LVMH's Bernard Arnault pulled off a 30-minute shmatta show. Staged on the Great Wall, which was literally just a chopstick away from the annual Communist Party Congress, 88 Fendi-clad models strutted the longest runway in captivity.

Although building that Great Wall 2,000 years ago took 300,000 laborers, wasn't easy putting this thing together either. In the making a year, the Chinese withheld permissions until the day before. Live broadcast is forbidden and a one-hour delay required by the state owned network CCTV. Fendi spent millions on logistics, importing European crews, jetting over socialites and celebs like Kate Bosworth, untangling production challenges, overcoming exploding cables from inadequate power sources, space limitations, government censors, unending restrictions. A company called Vidicom, satelliteing the event to global outlets, had Plans B and C which included throwing their tapes off the wall and smuggling them out by bicycle.

Still, a few years ago nobody could have predicted a fashion show on The Great Wall. Not for all the tea in China."
(Galing noh?!)

Last minute catching up. I had dinner with Charrie yesterday at Powerplant. We planned some shopping but went home with nothing. Haha. Drinking and dancing with Chris, Lexi and co. I was too drained from my fever so I had to be the ultimate wallflower. I went home early and attempted to wait for sunrise. At around 5am, I couldn't take it anymore so off to bed.

Today I had some last-minute shopping. I was still ill but I couldn't get Trinoma out of my head so I went there alone. I couldn't stop thinking of this bag from the department store. I had to buy it today. The shape looks like a big bag for the old-school videocamera or similar to bricks tied in a bundle. I really couldn't describe it that well but it looks so odd and I loved it.

Tomorrow, I'm back to school again. I've "new gear" like my notebooks, pens, etc.

I'M READY!
